Honduras Denounces the ICSID Convention

On February 24, 2024, the World Bank received a written notice of denunciation of the Convention on the Settlement of Investment Disputes between States and Nationals of Other States (the ICSID Convention) from the Republic of Honduras.

In accordance with Article 71 of the ICSID Convention, the denunciation will take effect six months after the receipt of the Republic of Honduras notice, i.e., on August 25, 2024.

In its capacity as the depositary of the ICSID Convention, and as required by Article 75 of the ICSID Convention, the World Bank has notified all ICSID signatory States of the denunciation of the ICSID Convention by the Republic of Honduras.
